About Us
Our Story
As a commercial pilot, you are likely to have an exceptionally international career. That brings unique opportunities, of course, but is also bound to come with significant challenges. Navigating complex tax laws, complying with social security laws and finding a place to call home, all within the space of just a few months, can be extremely stressful and distracting.
That is the reason we founded 'The Pilot Suite'.
Our Story
Our story begins in early 2024, when one of our co-founders secured his first airline job at a European carrier. As is often the case, this job required him to be based in a different country, which was easier said than done - even within the European Union. From obtaining a social security number to registering with the local authorities to become a resident in a different country, we noticed how many hoops have to be jumped through within an impossible timeframe. Navigating bureaucratic systems in a foreign language takes a lot of time and is unnecessarily difficult to combine with a Type Rating or full-time job.
Local agencies were often only able to assist with very generic queries, making the entire process lengthy and expensive. Very few people are familiar with pilot’s contracts, commuting or the lifestyle of sometimes switching bases every couple of years, making it difficult to find agencies that are able to assist, especially when it comes to taxes. After meeting many different pilots from all over Europe, we discovered they all recognized this struggle and that it can almost be seen as ‘part of the job’, something we believe should not be the case. Instead of spending valuable time and energy on complicated legal matters, your time is much better spent focusing on flying. That's why we created a tailored service that takes care of all the issues that pilots have to deal with throughout their careers.
At The Pilot Suite, we have a specialized team with a background in aviation, law and taxation, that is fully dedicated to assisting pilots with all administrative challenges and red tape throughout their career. Our team takes care of everything, from yearly tax filings and compliance to arranging the entire relocation process. From registering with local authorities to assisting with housing, healthcare and loss of license insurance, and so much more.
Whether you’re a cadet who’s found a great opportunity abroad or a seasoned captain with more important things to do than navigating all sorts of red tape: we’ll be there every step of the way, for both your professional and your private life.
